His Majesty the King collects the royal relics and the royal ashes of the late King Rama IX at the royal crematorium Friday morning. The royal relics were put in enamelled gold urns which were then transferred to the Dharma Royal Pavilion in Sanam Luang. At 10pm, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun presided over the royal cremation for the late King at the royal crematorium at the Sanam Luang ceremonial ground. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun begins the ceremony for the royal cremation. The royal ashes will be moved to the royal cemetery inside Wat Rajabophit where they will be kept permanently.
